SKYSPORT NEWS: Ac Milan key player reveals His major challenge for Tuesday night’s UCL clash

Fikayo Tomori discusses Milan’s expectations for tomorrow’s match against Newcastle.

Former Chelsea player Fikayo Tomori believes AC Milan knows what to anticipate when they meet Newcastle United in the Champions League tomorrow.

Fikayo Tomori was suspended for AC Milan’s 5-1 battering at the hands of bitter rivals Inter Milan, but he is expected to play when Newcastle end their 20-year exile from the Champions League tomorrow night.

Three-time England international Tomori, as well as his Milan and former Chelsea teammates, Oliver Giroud, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Christian Pulisic, will be familiar with Newcastle, which could explain why they feel they know what to expect from the Magpies.

Fikayo Tomori was quite complimentary of Newcastle today. Tomori was speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s match with Newcastle (via Sempre Milan) and was asked what to expect from Newcastle: “They’re a very strong team, with legs in front and physicality in back.” They hit a lot of long balls. We know what to expect from the game, and then we have to show our skill with or without the ball.”

Milan will, of course, be aiming to put Saturday’s humiliating outcome behind them, and as such, Newcastle must be wary of a reenergized Milan squad.

Newcastle, on the other hand, comes into this game with confidence after snapping a three-game winless streak with a 1-0 win over Brentford on Saturday.

Newcastle will be able to rely on inside information from Sandro Tonali, who left Milan for Tyneside this summer, though the Milan club has changed significantly since he departed.

A victory in Milan might kickstart Newcastle’s season.
Tonali’s understanding will now be hampered as the Italian club spent the entire £55 million Newcastle paid for him on numerous new players.

After 20 years of Champions League exile, the result doesn’t even matter in a way tomorrow. Much like when Newcastle took on Manchester United at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final last year, the occasion is enough. Just being back amongst the elite is an achievement, we are still building towards competing. That being said, a win tomorrow would really kick Newcastle’s season off.
