JUST IN: Liam Rosenior answers confidently to Daniel Farke’s criticisms

As Hull City prepare to face Leeds United, Liam Rosenior answers to Daniel Farke’s comments.

On Wednesday evening, the Tigers will face their Yorkshire rivals under the lights.

Liam Rosenior, head coach of Hull City, says he is unconcerned with statements made by his opposite number Daniel Farke ahead of Wednesday night’s Yorkshire derby against Leeds United.

Farke bemoaned that his team had less time to prepare for the journey to the MKM Stadium than City, who played on Friday night and the Whites on Sunday afternoon.

Leeds won that game 3-0, and Rosenior suggested that such a triumph would be anything from a handicap to a squad still displaying Premier League markings.

“This is the Championship; it will happen.” That is why you require a squad. When I look at Leeds’ bench, I see that they can change five, six, or seven players without weakening the team,” the City manager told Hull Live. “I don’t see it as a problem.” Also, when you win 3-0 away from home, you have a lot of energy in your legs the next day. “Hopefully, I won’t bring it up again in the future because it’s about how you respond.” If you want to win the Championship, you can never have everything perfect.

“I went down there, and it was a long drive back up from London in the rain,” Rosenior said. “It was good to go; it’s always nice to see teams in action.”

“I know they have outstanding attacking threats, I think Daniel is a fantastic coach, and they’re extremely well organized.” They’re a solid squad, but it was interesting to witness. All three goals came in transition, which isn’t surprising given that you can pull Dan James and Jaidon Anthony off the bench after 60 minutes and they’re always going to be a threat in transition.

“They have some good players.” Their bench was absurd. Obviously, Karl (Darlow) was here last season; he’s currently on their bench, and it shows.

The MKM Stadium is on its approach to being completely sold out, a far cry from the last time Leeds visited at the end of February 2020, when a crowd of just over 16,000 witnessed a comprehensive away victory at a time when indifference was high under the previous ownership.

Rosenior believes the club’s culture is changing and that it is on the approach of returning to the glory days when he was a player earlier this century.

“Credit to Acun (Ilicali) and Tan (Kesler), they’ve worked so hard,” Rosenior added. “When I talked to those guys about the club, they saw the potential in it when they bought it, where it can get to really, really quickly.”

“When I first joined,
