JUST IN: Ac Mila’s draw against Newcastle united has caused a definite setback for a prolific star

Eddie Howe must now rest his’superb’ £13 million player in order to give a 19-year-old his debut on Sunday.
Newcastle United are still reeling from their Champions League exit, but they return to Premier League action on Sunday when Sheffield United visit St James’ Park.

After a rigorous trip to Milan, Sunday’s visit of Premier League newcomers Sheffield United appears to be an ideal opportunity for Eddie Howe to rest a handful of Newcastle players.

Dan Burn is one player that should definitely be rested. On Tuesday night, he put forth an admirable performance against AC Milan, but there were times when he was absolutely out of pace.

Burn is good, but he lacks speed, which is becoming an issue.
This has happened a couple times in the Premier League this season as well.

Burn isn’t known for his speed at the best of times, but there have been instances this season when he appears to be a yard behind.

With Sheffield United still attempting to find their way in the Premier League, Sunday should be the ideal time to give 18-year-old Lewis Hall his Newcastle debut.

Hall might be crucial in Newcastle’s victory over Sheffield United on Sunday.
Hall has a lot of speed and is quite useful going forward. That kind of energy and skill would be ideal for tearing apart a shaky Sheffield United defense.

I like Dan Burn, and he has been’superb’ for Newcastle, as Andy Hinchcliffe mentioned, but some games require a different skill set than what Burn possesses.

If Howe decides to rest Burn, Matt Targett is likely to be selected, although Newcastle fans are eager to see young Hall make his Newcastle debut after seeing what he’s capable of last season for Chelsea.
