Head coach Steve Cooper lauded Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner. On Saturday, Liverpool will face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
During the summer transfer window, Forest lured Turner away from Arsenal. He only played seven games for Arsenal in a single season, all of which were in cup competitions.
He was 29 years old and anxious for first-team football. The guy is the number one goalkeeper for the USA national team and will want to keep that position.
Cooper is really happy with his summer buy. He’s been gushing over the guy who cost the club £10 million from the Premier League team that finished second last season.
“Everyone knew at the end of last season that we needed to add to the goalkeeping part of the squad,” Cooper told BBC Sport. I believe we are in a good position right now. It has now become a highly competitive part of the squad.

Despite the fact that he hasn’t played much football in England, he certainly has something to prove now that he’s moved to Forest. His efforts thus far have been excellent, and he produced two more excellent stops on Monday night.
Cooper clearly admires the goalkeeper. Turner will be under no illusions that with the signing of Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica, there is now an experienced custodian ready to take his place.
