SKYSPORT: “This was a total denial” Stuart Broad on a the forest key man performance

Stuart Broad lamented that one Nottingham Forest player’s performance on Saturday was “so nearly wonderful.”
Former England cricketer Stuart Broad has shown support for Morgan Gibbs-White, a star for Nottingham Forest. The forward’s first goal attempt of the season was stopped in its tracks on Saturday when it hit the woodwork in the first half.

Despite Gibbs-White’s best efforts, Forest was forced to settle for a draw at Crystal Palace over the weekend. The Reds entered the international break with another point as the encounter ended in a pretty interesting 0-0 stalemate.

Forest’s second season in the Premier League has gotten off to a surprisingly strong start. They have eight games under their belt and nine points, but they have already played Chelsea, Arsenal, and both Manchester clubs away from the City Ground.

For Forest star Gibbs-White, Broad is devastated

As Gibbs-White returned to the Forest starting eleven, it felt like he was so close yet so far away. His effort was aided by a gorgeous Murillo pass, and although his first-time shot was spectacular, it regrettably hit the post.

Broad joined Instagram after the weekend. He merely shared a video of Gibbs-White hitting the post along with the three words “So nearly wonderful” on his story.

Broad’s cricket career is done, so he will have a lot more time to observe Forest’s progress. He took the difficult choice to leave the game following the summer’s Ashes series, and he will forever be remembered as a legend in the game.

Steve Cooper places a lot of importance on Gibbs-White.

Everyone at the City Ground is obviously rooting for Gibbs-White to get rolling. He hasn’t scored a goal yet this season, but he hasn’t given up trying.

He leads the Forest team in productivity. As the team’s creative spark, he never gives up and is constantly working to make things happen in the final third.

The difficulty for Gibbs-White is to possibly unwind a little more. The 23-year-old can afford to relax a little bit now that he has a quality squad in place and there is some concern that he may be trying a little bit too hard.
