SKYSPORT UPDATE: Atalanta 21- years-old key star likely to exit club by window transfer

Milan tried to buy Revelation Ruggeri from Atalanta.

Atalanta’s left flanker, Matteo Ruggeri, has outperformed the opposition and impressed Milan, who had previously expressed interest in him as a possible replacement for Theo Hernandez last summer.

The Rossoneri offered €8M in total, which included the loan fee and the option to purchase, according to Calciomercato. They were rejected by the Bergamaschi because they believed their offer to be too low.

Milan will keep tabs on Ruggeri in preparation for a potential summer pursuit. However, his price is steadily rising. In his first ten games, he recorded four assists and one goal. Due to a serious thigh injury he sustained in April, he only appeared 15 times throughout the previous campaign.

The teenager has five caps for Italy’s U-21 team. La Dea predicts that by the end of the year, his valuation would increase to €18–20M, according to Tuttomercatoweb. If someone made an offer, they might be prepared to sell and make yet another profit on one of their young items. Gianluca Di Marzio says that the Rossoneri could instead pounce on Juan Miranda in January if he cost €5-6M.

Our View of Milan and Ruggeri
He had previously shown potential, and he had so far taken an extra step to put everything together and stay healthy. If he persists, even on a great squad, he will be overqualified and expensive to serve as a backup.
