After a few seasons away, the Yorkshire team is back in the second division and is vying for a spot in the Premier League under new ownership and management.

In the summer, Andrea Radrizzani, the former owner of Leeds, made the decision to sell his majority stake to the San Francisco 49ers investment firm, who already controlled 44% of the team.

This summer, Radrizzani decided that enough was enough and gave up his ownership of the Championship team.

Italian businessman Radrizzani is the founder and chairman of the sports media organization Eleven Sports.

Despite leaving his position at Leeds, Radrizzani remains involved in football as the owner of the Italian team Sampdoria.

In the summer, the 49-year-old sold Leeds United, but in May, he and his business partner Matteo Manfredi made the difficult decision to acquire Sampdoria in Italy.

In prior years, Sampdoria has been recognized as a Serie A squad, but this season Radrizzani has taken over a team in Serie B.
