Italian officials who are looking into potential violations of gambling laws questioned Zaniolo and Tonali before releasing them from the Italy team on Thursday.

The Juventus player Fagioli was eager to meet with prosecutor Giuseppe Chine on Sunday, it was revealed. He was hoping to get a less sentence.

Tonali, a star for the Magpies, is reportedly willing to do the same in an effort to have his potential ban reduced by half.
Tonali will also try to meet with prosecutor Giuseppe Chine, according to Il Messaggero, and the meeting is anticipated to happen the following week.

Tonali will seek a plea deal in the future by confessing to the charges in front of the prosecution, which most likely will result in a shorter possible prison sentence.

Calcia Finaza claims that Juventus midfielder Fagioli met with attorneys and investigators on Sunday to condemn himself, and that during the meeting, he turned over his cell phone.

According to Mail Sport, Villa’s aim for Zaniolo is to fully understand the basis of the accusations and hear the player’s defense rather than jumping to conclusions.
It is currently believed that the 24-year-old will not be subject to any punishment from his club while the investigation is continuing.

According to reports in Italy, Zaniolo’s reasoning is that he was playing blackjack on a website that he was unaware was prohibited from operating and that he did not place a bet.

Punishment for gambling that has nothing to do with sports or even football is rare.

Galatasaray is presently loaning Zaniolo to Villa. The agreement includes a buyout option for around £40 million at the end of the current campaign, which will turn into a buyout requirement once Zaniolo meets specific goals. He has played nine times thus far without recording a goal.

“It is right that we look to defend them and help them, but then justice will take its course,” said Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Italy. It is appropriate for a price to be paid if regulations were broken.
