With 25 stars who are healthy and available for training, two must be excluded.
And while Southgate swings the axe, West Ham star Bowen has been selected for England ahead of Arsenal player Nketiah for the match against Italy.

Nketiah and Fikayo Tomori, according to Sky Sports, are the players who won’t be participating in the game.

All eyes are now on whether versatile Bowen will replace injured Arsenal star Saka at the start of the next game.
Given that England will be missing injured Arsenal star Bukayo Saka for the match, Bowen will be in the team and will be vying for a starting spot.

This definitely provides Bowen a chance to establish himself for future squads, whether as a starter or a substitute.

David Moyes has been using Bowen as a forward and the Scottish manager believes the winger will eventually develop into a striker.

Southgate, who evidently feels this way, will not overlook that kind of versatility.
