Unai Emery just revealed giving up on the 24-years-old ace is never an option to him

Before January, rivals like Aston Villa and West Ham United are prepared to compete with Tottenham for Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu.

Aston Villa and West Ham United have reportedly entered the search for Kerem Akturkoglu ahead of the January transfer window, according to Team Talk. Due to his outstanding performances for Turkey and Galatasaray this season, the Turkish star has caught the eye of Tottenham.

When Galatasaray defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford a few weeks ago, they made a big statement. Their confidence was boosted by that victory, and one of their players has been making the transfer pages, helping them to finish ahead of the Red Devils in their Champions League group.

Kerem Akturkoglu, a 24-year-old star for Galatasaray, has seen his value climb this season as a result of some outstanding performances for club and country. He recently assisted Turkey in securing a spot at Euro 2024, and he’s on track to have a successful campaign with Istanbul giants.

Tottenham was among the first to express interest before the January transfer window. Since the injury-related departure of Ivan Perisic and the ensuing fitness concerns with Manor Salomon, Ange Postecoglou had been searching for a new winger. Those stars operate on the left, just like Akturkoglu.

More crucially, Postecoglou believes Son Heung-min should play as a center striker full-time and would therefore need to add a fresh player to the left wing. Although Akturkoglu, a 24-year-old Tottenham target, would be the ideal fit for their needs, there is a lot of competition.

First off, the report notes that at least four other Premier League clubs are interested in signing him. Among them are West Ham United and Aston Villa, both of whom are interested in Akturkoglu. Unai Emery is set to hunt for a new left winger in January.

The left wing has been an issue for West Ham recently, and David Moyes could have desired a different alternative over the summer. He needed extra time, though, to tighten up their core midfield, which was a priority.

With regard to Aston Villa, they are going through an uncertain time due to Nicolo Zaniolo’s future. In addition to being on loan from Galatasaray, the footballer is facing a significant suspension as a result of charges of illicit betting.

Nicolo Fagioli, another Italian international, has already been suspended for seven months, and Sandro Tonali will follow suit. Zaniolo might also have to answer for his actions, therefore Villa is preparing to pursue Akturkoglu, a 24-year-old Tottenham target.

Galatasaray would prefer to keep Akturkoglu past the January transfer window, but they can currently earn the highest price for the attacker. Therefore, if the right offer comes in, particularly from Premier League clubs, they might approve a sale.
