Roosters recruit Young on mend after infection scare

Dominic Young, a new Sydney Roosters signee who was hospitalized in the UK with a sinus infection that extended to his brain, is anticipated to make a full recovery.

When Young complained of headaches earlier this month, he decided to return to England instead of playing in the three-test series against Tonga.

Before he developed a sensitivity to light and experienced difficulty opening and closing his eyes, the towering winger initially believed the problem would go away on its own.

Michael Cincotta, Young’s manager, claims that Young has been reacting well to antibiotics despite missing England’s 22-18 victory over Tonga on Sunday.

“I spoke to Dom yesterday and he says things are heading in the right direction and his eyes are getting back to normal,” Cincotta stated.

“I’m confident after speaking to Dom that he’ll make a full recovery.”

As a precaution, Young has been kept in the hospital. It is anticipated that he won’t play in the final two Tests against Tonga and that he will return to Australia before playing in his debut season at Bondi.
