Detroit Pistons key star out for the whole season “medical report”

Detroit will once again begin the season shorthanded due to the Pistons’ injuries.

Over the past few seasons, it has been difficult to watch the Detroit Pistons play.
It’s not just that they keep losing; we hardly ever see the entire team together since important players’ injuries always seem to destroy them.

The Pistons were anticipated to start improving last season, but they instead wasted the rest of the year after losing Cade Cunningham in the 12th game.

The chances of the Pistons remaining healthy this season have already significantly decreased if they are to have any hope of achieving their stated aim of being competitive all season.

Detroit Pistons injury update

Before the preseason even began, the roster suffered a blow when Isaiah Livers sprained his ankle and will be sidelined for another 4-6 weeks. This is yet another setback for Livers, who has failed to begin a season healthy. Detroit was already lacking at forward.

Both Jalen Duren and Cade Cunningham missed preseason games, but they should be good to start the regular season on Wednesday in Miami as their ailments seem to be mild.

However, the Detroit News’ Mike Curtis reports that the Pistons will begin the 2023–24 season without two significant veterans:

Detroit will begin the season shorthanded once more as both Bojan Bogdanovic and Monte Morris have been declared out of Wednesday’s season-opening game against the Heat while Killian Hayes is still listed as day-to-day with a sprained knee.

Bogdanovic is the player that is supposed to offer shooting and spacing to the starting lineup, so losing him for even a brief period would be a major loss. Same goes for Monte Morris, who was assumed to be the Pistons’ backup point guard owing to his propensity for ball handling and making 3-pointers, two things the team struggled with throughout the preseason.

Although it is hoped that the two seasoned players won’t be away for too long, it is disappointing and disheartening to begin a season without all of the necessary players.
