Since making his NRL debut in Round 19 of the 2022 season, Weekes has participated in 12 games. Nine of those games were in 2023, and he started one at five-eighth and three at fullback while the other games were spent on the bench.

Weekes will fit in at the Raiders, according to Joel Carbone, recruitment manager for Canberra.

“We believe that Kaeo, a player in the early stages of his NRL career, will complement our shift into a new era here at the Raiders,” said Carbone.

He appears to be a very modest and diligent young man, and he possesses all the required sporting equipment. Here, by securing a regular spot on the NRL squad, he will have every chance to flourish and advance his NRL career.
