The match is set to take place at the Swansea.com Stadium. In their previous match, Sunderland secured a 3-1 victory against Norwich, elevating them to eighth place in the Championship table. Eliezer Mayenda, recovering from a hamstring injury, could potentially be on the bench for the first time this season. Aji Alese, who had surgery for a thigh issue over the summer, is expected to play for the under-21s side. Corry Evans, Jay Matete, and Timothee Pembele are still sidelined with long-term injuries.
