Eddie Howe And Mauricio Pochettino Reveals Two Comments,”not great but got an easy win”And Another One

“Despite not being very good, Newcastle won easily. We have to demonstrate that it was hard for them. However, we were so meek in every challenge and it was so simple to concede,” Pochettino remarked at halftime.

“We lacked focus and enthusiasm, and we didn’t play how we need to. Even with our goal, 1-1, we had a chance to have them play deep, but Newcastle had an easy time of it.

“For this reason, I find the performance so offensive. Since they are a young squad, they require this kind of experience to grow. We are going to the hotel, leaving early tomorrow to train without a break.”

Howe, though, refused to engage in a verbal sparring match with his rival about whether Newcastle was “great” when questioned about Pochettino’s incensed remarks when he took his seat in front of the media seconds later. Rather, the Magpies’ head coach showered his team with praise for not allowing the present injury issue to take their focus off of their current task.

“Biggest compliment I can give the players is we were ourselves today,” added Howe. “The problem is that having as many injuries as we do can cause disorientation and identity loss.

“You saw a Newcastle performance today, both in and out of possession, that the players deserve huge credit for.”

After Newcastle United defeated Chelsea 4-1, an enraged Mauricio Pochettino blasted his players for being “soft” and not being able to compete at St James’ Park, insisting that Newcastle United was “not great.” Newcastle’s injured team remained collected and cool to finish the game in style, while the west London team was destroyed in a horrific second half that saw many of the away team lose their heads.

While serving a one-game touchline punishment, Pochettino was watching from the stands. Nevertheless, he arrived in the media room enraged, criticizing his struggling players during his post-match news conference. The Argentine promised to punish his players by making them train early since he was so furious with their Chelsea performance on Sunday morning upon their return to the city.
