Mehrdad Ghodoussi”Responds to controversial statement” Over Chelsea

After Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Chelsea, Mehrdad Ghodoussi tweeted that he wanted to see a better atmosphere at St. James’ Park. He has since received feedback on that post.

“We need to give these guys more support in the stadium, we need to be louder, we need to be the 12th man,” he remarked following the victory. “Yes, we need to match the intensity of the players with our support,” co-owner Jamie Reuben said in agreement.

Many supporters took to social media to voice their disapproval, with some pointing out how the new ticketing system and the quantity of “tourists” at St. James’ Park have negatively damaged the ambiance, which wasn’t all that awful the previous weekend.

After a few days, Ghodoussi responded to the criticism on social media by saying that his “love for the club is unwavering” and that his “heart beats in black and white”:

Although his Saturday night tweet seems a bit odd in terms of time and content, we’ve seen how passionate he is about Newcastle United over the past two years. He genuinely only wants the best for this club, and perhaps this will teach him something.
