Rafael Leao of AC Milan is apparently giving Manchester City more momentum in their rumored pursuit of him, even if the Portuguese player is still far from agreeing to a new deal at the San Siro.

The attacker is holding out for a fixed salary of €7.5 million, despite the Italian giants offering the 23-year-old approximately €6 million every season, according to Calciomercato. It further states that contract negotiations will continue between the two sides throughout the international break.

Leao scored 14 goals for the Serie A team in the previous season, and he has since recorded nine goals and ten assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.

According to other reports, Kalvin Phillips, a midfielder for City, is being watched by a number of teams, including West Ham, before the summer transfer window opens.
After moving from Leeds United to the Etihad, the England international has struggled with form and health. This season, he has made only 13 appearances across all competitions. Due to his lack of playing time under Guardiola, he has been linked to leaving the Blues in recent months.

It is reported that City is not currently thinking about selling Phillips, but that could alter based on any bids they receive for the midfield player.
