Mowbray was Sacked,Club Bosses Said It Was a ‘difficult decision’

Following Tony Mowbray’s departure from the Stadium of Light, Sunderland supporters have started voicing their thoughts.

On Monday, Mowbray was let go. The club’s executives expressed their gratitude to him and stated it was a “tough choice.”

“We are now focused on identifying the right candidate and we will continue to support our coaching team and players throughout the interim period,” stated Kristjaan Speakman, the sporting director.

According to the club, Mike Dodds will take charge of the first team’s practice and game planning until the hiring of a new head coach is complete.

Alongside his departing assistant Mark Venus, the club would like to thank Tony for the positive contributions he has made over the past two seasons.

After their most recent 1-1 draw at The Den with Millwall, the Black Cats will play West Brom at the Stadium of Light on Saturday in their next Championship match.
