Dwight Gayle and Callum Robinson respond to Matt Phillips on Instagram after West Brom ‘Narration’

Following his Instagram post regarding his injury blow for West Brom, Matt Phillips received messages from Dwight Gayle and Callum Robinson.

The 32-year-old versatile wide player Phillips injured his hamstring tendon during last week’s 2-1 loss to Leicester City. Carlos Corberan stated that Phillips might be out for up to four months.
On December 8, Phillips posted on social media, writing, “‘The comeback is far greater than the setback.”

“Thank you for your encouraging messages! Until I can return to the field with the boys, I will be there to support them with everything I have.

Former Phillips teammate Robinson responded, “You got this brother,” with a love heart and crossed fingers emoji, while former Baggies striker Gayle responded with two fist bump emojis.

The fact that so many of Phillips’ teammates—past and present—have sent supportive and well-wishful comments on his Instagram post speaks volumes about his dedication to the Albion cause.

Gayle and Robinson were undoubtedly among them, and among those who responded to Phillips’ message after his unfortunate injury setback were Alex Palmer, Conor Townsend, and Ahmed Hegazi.

Despite his advanced age, Phillips possesses the qualities of a true professional and has been among the Baggies’ most reliable players this season as they look to qualify for the Championship play-offs at the at least.

Although hamstring issues at his age are definitely not ideal, Phillips will be determined to recover as quickly as possible and participate in a promotion push despite the fact that this setback is plainly inopportune.

Let’s all hope he returns to the field as soon as possible.
