Journalist Warns, Newcastle About ‘Untouchable’ Milan Super Star Player

The Rossoneri are desperate for a win at St. James’ Park, but obtaining all three points in England might not be enough to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16, as Milan also needs Borussia Dortmund to defeat PSG at home.

Milan star Rafael Leao is expected to start against Newcastle on Wednesday, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he is not fit to play 90 minutes. Luka Jovic could join Olivier Giroud in attack during the game.

There wasn’t much good news for the Rossoneri, who will probably see Rafael Leao return to the starting XI against Newcastle.

Stefano Pioli’s team lost their most recent Serie A match against Atalanta on Saturday and are currently nine points behind city rivals Inter, the league leaders. Journalist Luca Bianchin of La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the newspapers’ reporters in Bergamo on Saturday, analysed Milan’s defeat, highlighting how the Diavoli showed “some of the old shortcomings” at the Gewiss Stadium.

AC Milan star Rafael Leao reveals why he smiles all the time

He’ll give it his best shot. According to Bianchin, “the feeling is that Leao will start in Newcastle with Christian Pulisic on the right and Giroud as a striker as soon as there is a positive signal from him.”

“Jovic should be avoided during the game. In Bergamo, the attack duo of Jovic and Giroud performed admirably. Out of all the news, this one was positive. It seems likely that Pioli will happily introduce Jovic to the team during the match, even though Leao might not be well enough to play the whole ninety minutes.

Jovic has led Milan to back-to-back Serie A victories over Frosinone and Atalanta.

The 25-year-old, who signed a deal with a one-year option to extend it, left Fiorentina to join the Rossoneri on a free transfer last summer.
