Newcastle United rocked by fresh injury blow as £63m man to miss Fulham clash

Newcastle United vs. Fulham: For their matchup with the Cottagers, Eddie Howe will be without one of his main players.

Due to his exclusion from Eddie Howe’s matchday squad for Newcastle United’s afternoon match against Marco Silva’s team, Alexander Isak will not play for the Magpies against Fulham. Isak came on as a substitute for Anthony Gordon at the hour mark of the midweek loss to AC Milan.

Due to a groin injury, the 24-year-old missed five games between the end of October and mid-November of this season.

As a precaution, he is allegedly not playing in today’s game. Last season, Isak scored the game-winning header with a last-minute header to give Newcastle a crucial 1-0 victory.

Newcastle United takes on Fulham looking to continue their strong home record in the league and prevent a fourth straight loss in all competitions. The only occasion the Magpies have failed to win every game at St James’ Park this season is during their loss to Liverpool back in August.
