Skysport Report:Auburn Tiger HC Confirm Another experience Super Star Signing Due To…

Auburn has secured its second transfer commitment for the 2024 cycle, with defensive lineman Gage Keys announcing his commitment via social media.

Hailing from Kansas, Keys brings a wealth of experience, having spent three seasons with the Minnesota Golden Gophers before transferring to play for the Jayhawks.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighing 280 pounds, Keys showcased his defensive prowess in his lone season with Kansas, amassing an impressive 21 total tackles.

His high school background reveals his potential, having been ranked as the No. 32 defensive end and the No. 20 player in Ohio.

The addition of Keys marks Auburn’s second transfer acquisition for the 2024 cycle, with the earlier commitment being Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis. Lewis, a former three-star prospect, garnered recognition with a Third-Team All-Sun Belt selection in 2023.

His notable achievements include 70 receptions for 877 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Notably, Lewis delivered a standout performance against Charlotte, securing six passes for 220 yards and two scores.

As the Tigers set their sights on enhancing their receiver play in the upcoming season, the recruitment of both Lewis and earlier commitments such as five-stars Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson, as well as four-stars Malcolm Simmons and Bryce Cain, positions the receiving corps for significant improvement under the leadership of Hugh Freeze.

Gage Keys’ arrival is expected to fortify the Tigers’ defensive line, addressing concerns about the unit’s occasional lack of pressure during the previous season.

With a formidable lineup of transfers and recruits, Auburn is gearing up for a promising 2024 season under the strategic direction of Hugh Freeze.
