Breaking News; Nottingham Forest could hijack €32.5m striker over three other top Epl clubs

The Bundesliga forward is reportedly being courted by three Premier League teams, including Nottingham Forest. This is the most recent transfer rumour.

Maximilian Beier, a striker for Hoffenheim, is reportedly attracting interest from three Premier League clubs, including Nottingham Forest, before the January transfer window opens.

With six goals and four assists in his first 14 league games this season, the 21-year-old has drawn attention in the Bundesliga. After spending 2022–2023 on loan at Bundesliga 2 club Hannover, where he scored seven goals in 33 league games, he was given the opportunity to play for the main team.

With four and a half years left on his current Hoffenheim contract, Beier is reportedly subject to a €32.5 million (£28.1 million) release clause. That now appears to have caught the attention of Forest, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion, two more Premier League teams.

Journalist Christian Falk from the Bundesliga has detailed Liverpool’s intentions about a potential January deal in a piece for CaughtOffside. He also makes clear Forest’s admiration for the player.

“I’ve heard that Maximilian Beier is still being watched by Liverpool.” He wrote, “He has a release clause of around €32.5 million.

“I’ve heard Liverpool is keeping an eye on him, but they’re not sure if he could help them right away. Therefore, I believe Brighton’s interest to be somewhat more solid, and Nottingham Forest and Brentford also have interest.

He has demonstrated his ability to play both centrally and on the wings. It is similar to Thomas Muller in that he is a highly versatile football player who can play behind the number nine as well as on the wing or central attack. Although Liverpool might benefit from his speed, he isn’t the first option.

Steve Cooper will probably be searching for a striker in January considering the team’s goal-scoring difficulties this season without Taiwo Awoniyi. Due to an injury, the Nigerian striker is presently sidelined. In their last four Premier League games, Forest has only scored once.

Divock Origi and Chris Wood are the current primary two eye-catching choices. For the past two games, Cooper has chosen to start without a traditional striker, starting Wood and Origi on the bench.
