Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill reacts after Miami embarrasses Jets

Following a decisive victory over the Jets, Tyreek Hill sent his Dolphins teammates a little note.

Tyreek Hill was out for the Miami Dolphins’ 30-0 thumping of the New York Jets due to a nagging ankle issue. However, it was obvious that the standout wide receiver liked what he saw, and he was delighted to share that with his teammates.

After Miami’s tenth straight victory of the season, Hill wrote on X (previously Twitter), “Proud of this team.” The NFL’s top receiver was out, but Mike McDaniel’s team still defeated its AFC East foe without missing a beat.

A typically formidable Jets defense was more than adequately countered by the Dolphins’ offense.

Tua Tagovailoa avoided giveaways, passed for a touchdown, and completed 87.5% of his passes. Two touchdowns were added by Raheem Mostert on the ground. In Hill’s absence, Jaylen Waddle more than filled in.

Waddle caught eight passes for 142 yards and one touchdown on nine targets before the end of the day.

Dolphins lean on defense in win

Miami’s defense came through big time as well, even though the offense did its thing. Zach Wilson, the starting quarterback, was continually harried by the Dolphins, who finally sack him four times and caused a head injury that forced Wilson out of the game.

Even after Trevor Siemian entered the game in relief, nothing much changed. On 26 pass attempts, he threw two interceptions and suffered two sacks. A fumble was also lost by each quarterback.

It seemed obvious for the Dolphins to rest Hill this week given the Jets’ dismal performance thus far this season.

But they’ll want their speedy wideout back in Week 16 for a big matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve as the Dolphins try to lock up the AFC East.
