Venturing into the Mediterranean enclave known as The Olive Tree on Tower Street last Friday (November 24), Jimmy, the 1992 UK Champion, chose the locale for an evening repast.

As the UK Snooker Championships unfolded at York Barbican, Jimmy’s unfortunate 6-2 defeat to teenager Xing Zihao in the initial qualifying round cast a shadow over his visit.
