The Premier League is open to allowing the midfielder to depart on a temporary basis in the upcoming January transfer window.

Nineteen-year-old Jack Wells-Morrison has accumulated 10 appearances for Crystal Palace’s Under-21 side in the current season, boasting four goals to his name. According to Sunday Mirror reporter Darren Witcoop, the Eagles are prepared to approve a loan move for him in the upcoming month, and several unnamed second-tier clubs have shown interest. Additionally, Charlton Athletic from League One has been noted as a team that had a bid for Wells-Morrison rejected in the past.

Jack Wells-Morrison has been with Crystal Palace throughout his entire career, progressing through the ranks of his hometown club’s academy. A consistent presence at various youth levels in recent years, the England youth international served as the captain of the Eagles’ development squad last season. Notably, he was included in the first-team squad for their Carabao Cup match against Plymouth Argyle earlier in the current campaign.

Having not yet experienced a loan spell away from Selhurst Park, it is believed that Wells-Morrison could gain valuable experience by playing in the Football League from January until the summer, as opposed to continuing with the youth team.

Jack Wells-Morrison is viewed as a potentially valuable addition for a Championship club as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window. Previous interest from Charlton suggests they may still be interested, and it remains to be seen if they pursue him to enhance their squad and narrow the gap to the playoff positions. Charlton manager Michael Appleton is likely eager to make strategic additions to the squad, putting his own imprint on the team with reinforcements.
