Despite being in the final month of his contract with Partizan Belgrade, recent reports suggested that AC Milan was closing in on securing his services. However, Manchester City has emerged as a strong contender, with reports indicating that the Premier League champions are engaged in advanced talks and have presented a significant contract offer to the young attacker.

The allure of Popovic’s potential, combined with the appeal of a promising contract from Manchester City, suggests that the English club may be in a prime position to secure the signing. Manchester City, under the management of Pep Guardiola, has a track record of providing opportunities to young talents, and it seems Popovic could be the next beneficiary. As negotiations progress, it remains to be seen whether AC Milan or other interested clubs can outmaneuver Manchester City in the pursuit of this 17-year-old German-born Serbian sensation. As of now, the treble winners appear to be at the forefront of the race to secure his services in the upcoming January transfer window.
