Journalist confirms how Milan’s January plans could shift

AC Milan’s chances of signing Serhou Guirassy in January appear to be diminishing, and one contributing factor is their potential shift in focus towards securing a winger instead.

One of the prominent names recently linked to AC Milan has been Serhou Guirassy, as the management initially intended to acquire a new center-forward to support Olivier Giroud. The latest information from La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Guirassy is open to the idea of leaving Stuttgart in the January transfer window for the right project, and Milan is reportedly willing to meet the €17 million required for his signing.

However, Sky correspondent Peppe Di Stefano provided an update on Milan’s January transfer plans, suggesting that the likelihood of Guirassy joining is decreasing due to intense competition, Jovic’s strong performance, Guirassy’s high salary, and the limited roster space with Jovic, Giroud, Leao, and Pulisic already present. Di Stefano indicated that, considering Chukwueze’s departure for national team duty and Okafor’s injury, there might be more consideration for a winger rather than a center-forward. The situation, however, remains a work in progress.
