Milan could hijack deal for most wanted European talent

According to another source, AC Milan is reportedly expressing interest in acquiring Charlie Patino from Arsenal. However, they might face competition in the form of Juventus, who are also reportedly vying for the young player’s signature. The competition between these two Serie A rivals adds an additional layer of intrigue to the potential transfer of Charlie Patino.

According to Calciomercato.com, Charlie Patino is gaining significant attention on the English football scene and has been proposed as a potential future option to Juventus by his representatives. Described as a classic box-to-box midfielder who can also play as an attacking midfielder, the England U19 player might depart England in January. This possibility arises as Arsenal is reportedly considering recalling him from his loan at Swansea, potentially as part of a deal to secure Moise Kean, according to English sources.

Although there are no official confirmations from Juventus at the moment, Patino’s name has been on their scouting team’s radar for some time, dating back to Fabio Paratici’s tenure as head of the management.

Hailing from Arsenal’s Hale End academy, known for producing talents like Fabregas and Wilshere, Patino is considered one of the latest gems to emerge. Brian Stapleton, who first spotted him at 13 while at Luton Town, described him as the “greatest talent” he had ever seen.

Despite limited opportunities in Arsenal’s first team (only two appearances), Patino had loan spells at Blackpool and Swansea in the Championship. The report suggests that his future could potentially be in Italy, as AC Milan is also closely monitoring him.
