Newcastle now wants to hijack deal for a super talent which has same qualities as Jude Bellingham.

Newcastle United is showing interest in a key player from one of their rivals, with the 18-year-old making a significant impact since joining the team at the Stadium of Light.

Recently, the 18-year-old faced challenges in securing substantial playing time under John Eustace at Birmingham City. However, the mere inclusion in Eustace’s first-team plans was a significant accomplishment given his age.

Although he managed to carve a place in the senior squad at St Andrew’s, the young player opted to join the Black Cats. Sunderland, having invested significantly in young talent during the summer transfer window, demonstrated a commitment to building a foundation for sustained success.

While some of the young players at the Stadium of Light have faced challenges in making an impact, a different story unfolds for Bellingham, who has swiftly become an integral part of the first team.

Under the management of former boss Tony Mowbray, Bellingham was granted regular starting opportunities, and the teenager’s importance continued under Mowbray’s successor, Michael Beale. Bellingham, who also represents England at youth international levels, has notched up four goals and one assist in 25 Championship appearances, showcasing remarkable performance for someone of his age. Despite his young years, he has demonstrated the potential for more goal contributions.

At the age of 18, Bellingham’s achievements point toward a promising future, suggesting that he is on a trajectory to follow in his brother’s footsteps and play at the top level of the sport.

Interest in Jobe Bellingham

Despite his relatively short time on Wearside, other teams are already expressing interest in the player. Newcastle, who were keen on acquiring him to St James’ Park in the previous transfer window but were ultimately surpassed by the Black Cats, are reportedly maintaining their interest in the Englishman.

Securing a deal for the Magpies might prove challenging, as Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, Sunderland’s owner, may be reluctant to sell to their main rivals. Newcastle is just one of several Premier League teams reportedly interested in the player, and it’s not surprising given that Tottenham Hotspur has also been linked with the attacking midfielder.

Real Madrid has expressed interest as well, but the prospect of the Bellingham brothers reuniting in the Spanish capital remains uncertain. The competition for his signature seems to be intense, involving top clubs from both the Premier League and abroad.

The stance Sunderland must take on Jobe Bellingham

Bellingham has the chance to showcase to the interested parties why they have been pursuing him. However, it is crucial for him to concentrate on his football at the Stadium of Light and attempt to disregard the speculation surrounding him.

Considering the player has only been with the Black Cats for a few months, he may not be eager to leave just yet. This situation gives Sunderland the flexibility to adopt a firm stance on the player, especially if they are not inclined to part ways with him.

It seems reasonable to refrain from putting Bellingham up for sale, given that his value is likely to increase over the next year or two. Opting to sell him this month might not be a prudent decision for Sunderland, as they could potentially secure a higher transfer fee for his signature in the future. Holding on to the talented player could prove beneficial both in terms of his on-field contributions and the financial return on a potential transfer down the line.
