Alabama HC Welcome  Another Cornerback, He Will Been Playing Next Match

The Auburn Tigers are actively seeking to bolster their cornerback position in the upcoming offseason, recognizing the need for additional talent from the transfer portal.

Fortunately, they’ve made a significant acquisition in the form of former Alabama football cornerback Antonio Kite, who announced his commitment to Auburn via social media.

Kite, a highly-rated four-star prospect from the 2023 class, made this move shortly after the retirement of former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

Described as having a lean and wiry build with potential for added mass, Kite stands out for his unverified but seemingly above-average height.

According to 247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks, Kite exhibits a playing style characterized by a long reach, fast and smooth movements, and functional athleticism that translates well to the football field.

Notably, Kite is a two-sport standout with Division I offers in basketball, showcasing his versatility and natural athletic abilities.

Despite limited verified data, 247Sports projected Kite as a potential NFL Draft pick, foreseeing him falling within the 4th to 7th round range. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound cornerback still has four years of eligibility remaining, providing Auburn with a promising prospect for the future.

Auburn’s commitment to strengthening its roster extends beyond Kite, with a total of eight transfer portal commitments.

These additions include Percy Lewis from Mississippi State, Trill Carter from Texas, Rico Walker from Maryland, Sam Jackson V from California, Dorian Mausi from Duke, Gage Keys from Kansas, and Roberts Lewis from Georgia State.

The Auburn Tigers find themselves in a strategic position to capitalize on the recent coaching turnover at Alabama. With Nick Saban’s retirement, Auburn has the chance to make significant strides in recruiting and transfers, potentially elevating the program’s overall competitiveness in the coming months.
