In the latest development, Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik emerged as the seventh candidate to undergo an interview for the coveted position.

This virtual interview took place on Thursday evening, marking a significant step in the team’s meticulous evaluation process.

Bobby Slowik, currently in his inaugural season with the Texans, stands out for his pivotal role in nurturing the development of C.J. Stroud, the standout quarterback widely recognized as a frontrunner for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Slowik’s coaching expertise and contributions to Stroud’s success have garnered attention, positioning him as a compelling candidate for the head coach role.

Before his stint with the Texans, Slowik accumulated six seasons of experience with the San Francisco 49ers, notably serving as the passing game coordinator in 2022.

His versatile background includes roles such as passing game specialist, offensive assistant, and defensive quality control coach during his tenure with the 49ers. Additionally, Slowik’s earlier experience with the Washington Commanders and initial entry into the NFL as a video assistant in 2010 add depth to his coaching journey.
