James Houston, a pass rusher for the Detroit Lions, is not expected to play in Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Houston made his comeback to the field this week following four months of recuperation from a fractured leg. Houston, 25, saw action in seven games in 2022 and recorded 8.0 sacks while mostly serving as a supporting cast member on passing downs.
The Lions are also without wide receiver/punt returner Kalif Raymond, safety Tracy Walker, quarterback Hendon Hooker, defensive linemen Brodric Martin and Charles Harris, and cornerback Steven Gilmore.
The Bucs’ inactive roster includes wide receiver Rakim Jarrett, offensive tackles Silas Dzansi and Brandon Walton, running back Patrick Laird, linebackers J.J. Russell and Markees Watts, and quarterback John Wolford.
