Top Champions league club submit offer worth up to £30 million for Nottingham Forest super star

Napoli has allegedly presented an enhanced proposal for the acquisition of Nottingham Forest’s midfielder Orel Mangala.

As per a recent update by Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports Germany, Napoli, the Serie A champions, are reportedly putting in significant effort to secure the signing of Belgian midfielder Orel Mangala before the January transfer window concludes. The latest proposal from Napoli is believed to be a six-month loan arrangement, with a mandatory purchase obligation at the conclusion of the season.

The arrangement of the deal, designed to be mutually beneficial for both clubs, entails Napoli making a total payment of approximately £30 million (€35 million). This payment is contingent on the condition that the player participates in a minimum of 50 percent of the matches, each for at least 45 minutes.

Nottingham Forest, similar to numerous clubs in and around Europe, is facing challenges in adhering to Financial Fair Play (FFP) and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations. Consequently, parting ways with one of their more valuable players becomes an unfortunate but necessary step for the club.

Despite having joined from Stuttgart a mere 18 months ago, Orel Mangala appears to be the first player who might be let go. Over his tenure at the City Ground, the 25-year-old midfielder, who still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, has contributed two goals and one assist in 51 matches across all competitions.
