Journalist Report: Pat Murphy Confirm Top Star Player Fresh Injury Update

Milwaukee Brewers GM Matt Arnold and manager Pat Murphy recently discussed the news regarding Devin Williams being out for a minimum of 12 weeks with stress fractures in his thoracic spine.

In reports from MLB.com and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Matt Arnold confirmed that Williams had pitched through some discomfort last fall and those same symptoms returned this spring.

He also verified that Williams will be shut down from throwing for the next six weeks and that his timeline for return at the earliest is late May.

“Any time you lose a pitcher the caliber of Devin (Williams), it is always a tough loss… You’re going to get dealt some cards that are not face cards. You are going to get some low ones sometimes. This hurts. Immensely.”
