The Houston Texans have made a significant move in the free agency market by securing the services of running back Joe Mixon from the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mixon, who was entering the final year of his contract with the Bengals, has inked a three-year deal with Houston valued at $35 million.
This contract includes substantial guarantees, totaling $18 million, with $13 million allocated for the 2024 season and $4 million for 2025.
Additionally, Mixon stands to earn an incentive per game roster bonus of up to $1 million for the 2024 season.
Despite facing challenges such as the absence of quarterback Joe Burrow for a portion of the previous campaign, Mixon showcased his prowess by rushing for over 1,000 yards.
His ability to excel under adverse circumstances highlights his value and potential contribution to the Houston Texans’ offense.
