NFL Confirm Kevin Stefanski Strongest Issues With Sensational Top Player

When Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski appeared on Deshaun Watson’s “QB Unplugged” program, he let his guard down and made fun of his quarterback.

During the appearance, Stefanski, Watson, and co-host Quincy Avery—Watson’s personal quarterback coach—discussed a range of topics. However, Watson’s final query for the Browns captain concerned his golf handicap.

“I prefer not to discuss that. We’ll leave everyone in suspense; I don’t want to brag,” Stefanski remarked.

Subsequently, Stefanski reversed the roles and ridiculed Watson for his extraordinary physical prowess.

“I played with this man before. Pointing to Watson, Stefanski remarked, “You’re annoying.” This is why it irritates me. He only needs to pick up the game to start making 35-foot putts. It’s the most absurd thing ever.

You were fortunate. If there was a dart board here, I bet you were throwing bullseye. It irritates me. I lack whatever it is that this guy is carrying around.

During the broadcast, Stefanski and Watson talked about some more somber subjects. One topic that came up last season when Stefanski was assessing five different quarterbacks was game planning, which he found to be really intriguing.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and quarterback Deshaun Watson.

That’s what coaches are for. This week, how do you win?” Stefanski said. The offensive scheme we employ must fit our personnel. And as you’re assembling your game plan, you best be keeping the quarterback in mind. Some guys like a different kind of pass concept, and some guys have distinct strengths. Throughout your career, you have performed thousands of reps on certain plays. You adore those plays, and that’s why I enjoy them too. That seems to be placing the quarterback in a situation where he is extremely at ease with the notion, whatever it may be.

With Watson as his quarterback, Stefanski hasn’t been able to establish a proper rhythm as a play-caller, and Watson hasn’t exactly flourished in Cleveland yet. Watson’s missed time is primarily to blame for it. Since his arrival in Cleveland via the sensational 2022 trade, he has only appeared in 12 games. He tossed for 1,115 yards, seven touchdowns, four interceptions, and six starts the previous season.

The main concern for the Browns going into the upcoming season is Watson’s health. He just underwent surgery to treat a misplaced glenoid bone fracture. Watson promised he’ll be primed to go for Week 1 after lately picking up his throwing.

Watson told reporters on Thursday, April 4, “The biggest thing right now through this process is load management and just continue to find ways to just get better and just stay on that course.” “Thus, I have faith in all medical professionals, including the physical therapist and Dr. (Neal) ElAttrache and his team in Los Angeles with the Cleveland Browns. We just need to follow their instructions and we’ll be prepared by Week 1.”

Watson’s chances of getting back to his Pro Bowl-caliber play with the Houston Texans are slim. Since 2020, he hasn’t participated in more than six games in a season. However, Watson is sure that when he returns the next season, he’ll be even better than before.

Watson said, “Most definitely (confident).” “I want to make sure that I return even better than before because I’ve put my all into this.”
