Tennessee Titans Confirm Giant Star To Leave For AJ Brown Coming Hours Ago

Treylon Burks gets a direct message from the New Titans OC.

Treylon Burks, the wide receiver, received a really harsh message from Nick Holz, the new offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, before to training camp.

Burks has not lived up to the hype in his first two NFL seasons, even though he was virtually selected to replace the traded AJ Brown. When Holz addressed the media on Wednesday, he had a somewhat direct message for Burks going into his third season, considering the Titans are stockpiling wide receivers.

Treylon has a great deal of promise. Naturally, you can see all the skill in a first-round choice, said Holz. However, he will receive what he works for. In our two days together, he’s been a terrific man. He gives the impression of being a very engaged learner who truly absorbs and processes the material before applying it to the field. His skill set includes being a large guy with running ability and the ability to make contested receptions. We would really benefit from that enhancement if he could figure out a way to make it happen.

Holz isn’t going to criticize Burks directly, but it seems like the wide receiver needs to put in a lot of effort to fit into the offensive coordinator’s game plan. Who is ahead of Burks on the depth chart determines a lot of that. Burks’ targets might not be there after adding Calvin Ridley to the mix with DeAndre Hopkins.

Burks, the 18th overall choice in the 2022 draft, has caught 49 receptions for 665 yards and one score in his first two NFL seasons. It might possibly be too late for him to establish himself with the Titans.
