Following the Braves’ attempt to acquire David Fletcher through many avenues, they ultimately decided to trade for Jimmy Herget.

Albies may return to the team without Atlanta having to make any equivalent moves.

The Braves declared Wednesday that David Fletcher, an infielder, had been sent to Triple-A Gwinnett outright after going through waivers without being claimed.

Albies’ readmission was made possible by the fact that he had been on the major league roster.

Both organizations announced that the Braves had acquired reliever Jimmy Herget from the Angels in exchange for cash.

Atlanta waived David Fletcher last week, creating a space on the 40-man roster. Herget was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, thus no other action was required.
