Steve Spagnuolo’s defense is being completely redesigned by the Kansas City Chiefs, who may soon be making a significant addition to the secondary.
Given that he has only been able to participate in 10 games the last two seasons due to injury, Adams would probably be the epitome of a bargain bin acquisition. Adams may be aiming to show that he can still play at a high level.
Adams’ addition to the Chiefs is one of ESPN’s Bill Barnwell’s ten recommended trades or signings.

Despite having 16 sacks in 2019 and 2020, he has not had a single sack in the previous three campaigns. I have to think that, at the appropriate price, the potential benefits outweigh the danger that, at 28, Adams isn’t the same performer he once was.

Spagnuolo may find it interesting to use Adams in a situational pass-rushing capacity as a hybrid linebacker/safety in the Chiefs’ pursuit of a third straight Super Bowl victory.
