Ahead of a possible match, the Celtics receive a significant boost.

If the Boston Celtics defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, they have a chance to go to the Eastern Conference Finals. They go into the game with a 3-1 lead.

Jarrett Allen has missed Cleveland’s first four games due to injury, and he won’t be starting for J.B. Bickerstaff this time around. But the Cavaliers are more worried about other things.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that All-Star guard Jarrett Allen will not play for his club against the Celtics. He has a strain in his calf. Mitchell was also absent from Cleveland’s Sunday Game 4 defeat to Boston.

Due to Ankle injury issue, Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is anticipated to miss tonight’s possible elimination Game 5 Against Cleveland’.

Throughout the postseason, Tatum has been Celtics’s best player. He has averaged 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in 10 postseason games this season. He is shooting 35.4 percent from three-point range and 47.6 percent from the field.

The Cavaliers will find it difficult to defeat a strong Celtics squad that is hoping to win the series at home court in front of their home audience without Mitchell in their lineup.

All eyes will be on Celtics future with the Celtics if they are ousted from the playoffs on Wednesday. He has frequently declined to give the team a verbal commitment to his future, and it is anticipated that he will be a trade possibility in the summer.

For now, though, Celtics will be hoping to shock the Boston public and force a Game 6 to be played on its court. However, the Cavs’ prospects of winning, on Wednesday or in a Game 6 later in the week, are still small if their star guard stays injured.

There’s a reason the Celtics are favored to challenge for a title, after all. They will surely want to take advantage of any chance to end the series quickly and get more rest before playing the Indiana Pacers or the New York Knicks in the conference finals.
