Moreover, teams around the league will be even more motivated to prevent the Chiefs from accomplishing the historic three-peat.
In all likelihood, the 31 teams in contention won’t pose a danger to the current Super Bowl winners. The other thirteen clubs who make the playoffs, though, will all be cheering for their prospects.
They had never had to play this early in the postseason in the Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid era.
