Finally, the Texans schedule is available. A Holiday Pastime. Several Primetime games. The first Sunday Night Football game since 2019. First Monday Night Football since the same year. Now let’s go into some By the Numbers with regard to the timetable for 2024.
2-The Texans will play on Christmas Day for the second time since 2017. On Christmas Day of that season, the Pittsburgh Steelers visited NRG Stadium to play the depleted Texans. This Christmas Day on Netflix, the Texans will play the formidable Baltimore Ravens!
3-Netflix and the NFL inked a three-year agreement for the streaming behemoth’s service to air Christmas games. The inaugural event on the program will be the Chiefs vs. Steelers and Texans vs. Ravens doubleheader.
0 – Speaking of the Ravens, the Texans have defeated them in the past (I’m thinking of 2012 and 2014), but not with Lamar Jackson starting at quarterback.
Six – The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft saw the selection of six rookie quarterbacks.
3 – The Texans plan to play three of them, starting on Sunday Night Football in week two against Caleb Williams and the Bears. Then, in week six, the Texans head to New England to play quarterback Drake Maye. In an attempt to break a run against the Vikings and rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy, there’s also a trip to Minneapolis. Which pattern? Thank you for asking, however.
0 – The Texans have never defeated the Minnesota Vikings, hence they have no victories over them. At all. On Sunday, September 22, the Texans will travel to Minneapolis in the hopes of ending that skid.
1. The Texans will play their first-ever Prime Time regular season game AT Arlington’s Jerry World. In 2002 and 2018, the Texans and the Cowboys played in Prime Time, but those games were held in NRG, with the Texans winning both times. It is now Monday night, November 18, to be exact! Looking forward to that one.
1750 – The Texans and New England Patriots last squared off at NRG Stadium during the regular season of the 2019 NFL. In week two, more than 1700 days after the game against the Patriots, they will start off against the Chicago Bears. Eight weeks later, in week ten, the Texans will play a Sunday Night game against the Detroit Lions.
15. The Texans anticipate using less than half of the rookies selected in the first round, including the aforementioned quarterbacks.
5. As previously mentioned, the Texans will play on Christmas. In 2024, Christmas falls on a Wednesday. This implies that the NFL has scheduled games for the Texans to play on five of the six days in 2024.

1. The Texans will visit Green Bay for the first time—and not in December! I am the sideline reporter for the squad, and I am speechless at what a privilege it is. It wasn’t cool not to win, but I will say that playing the Packers in a snowstorm was pretty darn fantastic.
14 – The Texans will enjoy their earliest bye week in franchise history and the latest in the NFL, which is Week 14 on December 8. In the team’s history, the Texans have never had a bye week after week 11. Up till 2024.
