Four-star recruit Smith Orogbo announced his commitment to Texas on Today, selecting the Longhorns over offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Washington.
With Orogbo’s commitment, Texas now secures pledges from the top two in-state EDGE prospects for the 2025 recruiting class.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 220 pounds, Orogbo is ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect and the No. 3 EDGE in the 2025 class.
He holds the top spot among EDGE players and ranks seventh overall in Texas, according to On3. During his junior season at Alief Hastings High School, Orogbo recorded impressive statistics with 103 total tackles and nine sacks.
