Josh Christopher has been a standout performer in the Summer League, particularly after his impressive fourth-quarter performance on Monday night. Over two games in the Las Vegas Summer League, Christopher has totaled 43 points.

In Miami’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Christopher was unstoppable, especially from beyond the arc. He made five of his seven 3-point attempts, scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter alone.

“Everybody was so excited for him,” said Heat Summer League coach Dan Bisaccio, commenting on Christopher’s shooting display. “They know the work that he’s put in behind the scenes.”

Christopher finished last season with the Heat’s G League affiliate in Sioux Falls and has been working with Heat coaches since May. The former first-round pick aims to prove he can excel as a role player for the team.

“Be an animal on defense, and taking my shots, shooting my 3 and trusting the work that I’m putting in,” Christopher said. “Just being able to play off the ball and play a whole new role, be one of those 3-and-D guys.”

Christopher’s dedication to improving his game and adapting to a new role as a 3-and-D player has not gone unnoticed.

His efforts on defense and his sharpshooting have made him a valuable asset for the team, increasing his chances of securing a spot on the main roster.

As the Summer League progresses, the Miami Heat will continue to evaluate their players’ performances.

While some players are rising to the occasion and proving their worth, others may face challenges in maintaining their positions on the team.

Christopher’s standout performances have certainly put him in a favorable position, showcasing his potential to contribute significantly to the Heat’s success.

Overall, the Miami Heat’s Summer League has provided a platform for players like Christopher to shine and make a case for their inclusion in the main roster.

As the team looks ahead to the upcoming season, these performances will play a crucial role in shaping the final lineup.
