Good News: Just In New York Yankees Confirm The Addition Of Another Top Experienced Star To Squad

New York Yankees Add J.D. Davis to Roster for Infield Boost….

The New York Yankees are set to receive a crucial boost to their infield after the All-Star Break.

The team announced on Friday that they would be activating newly-acquired J.D. Davis from the 10-day injured list before their game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Davis was placed on the injured list on July 12 (retroactive to July 9) due to a stomach flu. Before his stint on the IL, Davis had appeared in five games for the Yankees following his acquisition from the Oakland Athletics on June 23.

During those five games with the Yankees, Davis started three at first base, one as a designated hitter, and made a pinch-hit appearance in another. Davis is a versatile player with experience at third base and left field.

Given the impressive performance of rookie Ben Rice at first base, it might be more beneficial for the Yankees to utilize Davis at third base or left field, positions currently occupied by the struggling DJ LeMahieu and Alex Verdugo.

Davis’ return to the lineup provides the Yankees with a valuable and experienced option as they look to strengthen their infield and overall team performance.
