John Force Released from Hospital, Continues Recovery at Home.

NHRA Funny Car legend John Force was discharged from the Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona on Tuesday.

He will continue his outpatient therapy closer to home as he recovers from the traumatic brain injury he sustained during a June 23 racing accident at the NHRA national event in Virginia.

Force was transferred to Barrow on July 9 after spending over two weeks at the VCU Medical Center in Richmond.

His family has been a constant presence throughout his hospitalizations, with his daughter Ashley Hood and her sisters Brittany, Courtney, and Adria, as well as their mother Laurie, by his side.

Now back in California, Force will continue working with therapists specializing in traumatic brain injuries.

His outpatient therapy will include speech therapy and occupational and physical therapy to address lingering short-term memory and cognitive issues.

Ashley Hood expressed relief that her father can finally sleep in his own bed. The support from his family has been unwavering, and the next phase of his recovery will be crucial in helping him regain his full capabilities.
