Following his illustrious playing career, Cousy spent 35 years as a color commentator for the Celtics and has remained a devoted supporter ever since.

Wyc Grousbeck credited Cousy for bolstering the Celtics’ confidence before their NBA Finals showdown against the Mavericks.

At 95 years old, Cousy’s belief in the team was unwavering, calling it an “easy call” to pick them as the winners.

This confidence was evident as he shared his thoughts with Bill Doyle, expressing his relief at the Mavericks’ win over the Timberwolves, which he saw as a favorable outcome for the Celtics.
