After a lengthy search, NESN has officially named their new play-by-play announcer for Boston Bruins games, succeeding the long-tenured and often polarizing Jack Edwards.
The choice was made public on Thursday, with the Bruins revealing that Judd Sirott, who has been calling games from the radio booth at TD Garden, will transition to television for the upcoming season.
Sirott, who has been the radio voice for the Bruins alongside analyst Bob Beers for the past seven years, will now partner with Andy Brickley on the NESN broadcast.
