Okwuegbunam has not played in any games for the Eagles this season due to an abdominal injury he suffered in mid-August, which resulted in him being placed on injured reserve (IR).
However, the recent opening of his practice window suggests that the 26-year-old is on the verge of making a comeback.
The Eagles have a 21-day period to activate Okwuegbunam to their active roster before he is required to return to IR. Once he recovers from his injury, he is expected to contribute as a depth option in the team’s tight end lineup.
